Hi, I'm just getting started on some family genealogy.  At this time, I'm searching for info on August Rittmeyer, born 1824, died March 1915, married Louise/Louisa ______ in St. Louis.  They are parents of Louise who married John Meyer on 4/16/1876.  Louise and John Meyer were parents of my great-grandmother, Elsie Augusta, born 2/12/1891.

I believe August Rittmeyer came to St. Louis around 1847 from Cincinnati where he was employed by Joseph Mersman, a whiskey merchant.
